Pamela Anderson Says She Left the Golden Globes Early to Avoid Seth Rogen

Pamela Anderson isn’t hiding how she felt at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards — especially when it came to the possibility of running into Seth Rogen.

The 58-year-old actress revealed in a new interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM that she left the ceremony early and went “right to bed” after presenting the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy to Rose Byrne. One reason, she admitted, was to avoid Rogen, who produced and starred in the 2022 miniseries Pam & Tommy.

The show dramatized the fallout from the stolen sex tape Anderson made in the mid-1990s with her then-husband, Tommy Lee. Anderson had no involvement in the project and has previously described the series as “salt in the wound,” saying Rogen still owes her a public apology — a point she repeated in the interview, which debuts January 20.

“I just felt like, ‘Eh,’” Anderson said of the situation. “How can someone make a TV series out of the difficult times in your life? I’m a living, breathing human being over here.”

Asked whether she actually crossed paths with Rogen at the Globes, Anderson said it felt “weird” just being in the same space. While she didn’t confront him directly, the feelings lingered.

“I’m not chopped liver over here,” she explained. “I’ve been really busy — I’ve done five movies in the last year — but sometimes it still hits you and you feel kind of down.”

Anderson described the whole experience as “a little yucky,” though she said she still hopes Rogen might one day reach out and apologize — even if it wouldn’t change everything.

“There’s this idea that if you’re a public person, you have no right to privacy,” she said. “But your darkest, deepest secrets or tragedies shouldn’t be fair game for a TV series. That really pissed me off.”

Cohen asked whether she felt like giving Rogen a “death stare” at the event. Anderson said award shows already make her uncomfortable and that she often feels like she doesn’t belong in those rooms.

So instead of making a scene, she kept it internal.

“I really told him how I felt — in my head,” Anderson said, joking as she demonstrated an intense stare from her seat.

Rogen has never publicly apologized to Anderson for the series. However, Lily James, who portrayed Anderson in Pam & Tommy, has since said the backlash made her rethink taking on roles based on real people.
