Lori Loughlin Still ‘Extremely Angry’ With Ex-Husband Mossimo Giannulli Following Split

Lori Loughlin is still carrying deep anger toward her estranged ex-husband, Mossimo Giannulli, following the end of their nearly 30-year marriage, multiple sources tell PEOPLE.

“Lori is still extremely angry with him,” one source says, adding that the former couple are now living completely separate lives. Another insider confirms that since their split, Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, have moved on with different priorities and little overlap.

Despite the tension, Giannulli reportedly holds no ill will toward his ex. According to a third source, the fashion designer still speaks highly of Loughlin, calling her “a lovely person and an incredible mom.” He is said to want the situation handled privately and without further conflict.

The couple’s separation was confirmed in October, when Loughlin’s representative described the decision as “taking a break from their marriage,” noting that there were no legal proceedings at the time. However, insiders say the relationship had been fragile for years and never truly recovered from the stress of the 2019 college admissions scandal.

In May 2020, both Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud after being accused of paying $500,000 to falsely label their daughters, Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli, as recruits for the crew team at the University of Southern California. Neither daughter had participated in the sport. Loughlin served two months in prison, while Giannulli served five.

“Things have never been the same since the fallout and prison sentences,” one source explains. “Lori feels betrayed. They’re in very different places now, and it’s unlikely they’ll find their way back together.”

Loughlin’s close friends are also reportedly upset with Giannulli and are firmly supporting her during the separation. “They’re rallying behind her, and they do not like him,” a source says.

The actress has also received public support from longtime friend and former Full House co-star John Stamos. Speaking on the Good Guys podcast in October, Stamos shared his frustration over the situation.

“She put up with a lot over the years,” he said, describing Loughlin as a good person, devoted mother, and loving wife. “I just hate to see her go through this.”

As Loughlin continues to rebuild her life after years of public scrutiny, sources say her focus is now on healing, close friendships, and moving forward — even as unresolved emotions from her marriage remain.
